Consuelo Gamboa

Consuelo Gamboa Wild grew up in Durango and Chihuahua, Mexico. Born into an artistic family, her earliest memories are of painting. She was named after her grandmother, Consuelo Ferrera Gamboa, a Mexican artist and her mentor. Educated in Mexico, England, and France, she settled in Southern California in 1978.

Much of her artwork features idealized scenes of country life. Primarily using watercolors, Gamboa's work portrays beautiful women in attractive surroundings enjoying life. Gamboa started Gamboa publishing in 1987. She lives with her family in Southern California.
